2023 MORGAN SYMPOSIUM

Here you may register for the Morgan Symposium to be held in Campbellsville, Kentucky on July 7th and 8th, 2023.  July 7th will be a guided tour of Tebbs Bend battlefield, fought on July 4th, 1863.  July 8th will be a series of speakers presenting on topics related to John H. Morgan and his various raids.

Schedule:

July 7th

Meet at XXXXX no later than 1:30 P.M.  We will use both a car caravan and tractor pulled wagon to tour the Tebbs Bend battlefield.  The tour will be led by Taylor Bishop along with Betty Gorin.  The tour will last two and a half to three hours.  This is a unique tour and one not to be missed!

July 8th

Arrive at the Taylor County Extension Office no later than 8:15 A.M. to sign in for the symposium.  Please park in the rear of the building and enter the conference area via the door that faces the rear parking lot.  Our presentations will start 8:30 A.M.  We will break for lunch around noon, and start up again at 1:15 P.M.  

Our preliminary speakers include Taylor Bishop, Derrick Lindow, David Mowery, and Darryl Smith.  We will also have a round robin set of speakers that will cover regional Morgan topics.

The fee is $30.00 per individual and includes the tour, speakers, and lunch on Saturday.  Any other meals and lodging are the responsibility of the attendees, and you can find suggested meal and lodging locations on our symposium flyer HERE.
